Cartridge filter
Cartridge filter. So that what doesn’t belong in goes out.
Cartridge filters, also known as spin-on filters, object filters or fine filters, are protective filters that cannot be backwashed. Cartridge filters have the task of filtering impurities from the water, such as small solid particles, rust particles and grains of sand. Cartridge filters are porous filter media. The impurities are retained in the labyrinth or on the surface of the coiled or thermally bonded fibers.
Cartridge filters must be replaced regularly depending on the raw water quality. The cartridge filter consists of a filter housing and one or more cartridges inserted in it. The candles can have different structures. In addition to the so-called wound cartridge (depth filter), which consists of a wound thread made of synthetic or natural material, filter cartridges constructed as membrane filters (surface filters) are also available.
